“It doesn’t matter if I welcome you, and it’s not necessary for you to receive me warmly. Let’s agree on what will happen.

I’m here to write, and you’re here to read. It’s not necessary for you to like what I say, and I don’t have to strain myself to accommodate you.

So let’s dispense with pleasantries. I’m a stubborn old man of the type that no one likes, and you’re a group of curious young people of the type that I don’t like. That’s how we can avoid the ugly formalities that people insist on using among themselves.
