Activity | JYC Try Dinghy Sailing

Overview:

1. A low-commitment dinghy sailing taster that introduces the basics of steering, sail control and confidence on the water in a safe, coached environment.

2. Who it’s for: Children, teens and adults (all ages!) who are new to dinghy sailing.

3. Format: One guided introductory session. Recommended for those who want to try sailing before booking a longer sailing course.

4. What to expect: A short land briefing is followed by an on-water sailing session focused on steering, controlling speed and getting comfortable in the boat. A professional international RYA accredited sailing instructor will be with you throughout.

5. Progression: Recommended next step: JYC Adult Dinghy Level 1 or JYC Youth Dinghy Stage 1. Or Join JYC Academy as a member for all courses, social sailing and weekly activities to be included at no cost.
