✨ The artworks in teamLab Phenomena do not exist independently, but are created by the environment that produces the phenomena causing them to exist.

Until now, things created by humans have existed through matter, like a rock, with a stable structure of their own. Unlike such things, the artworks in teamLab Phenomena are created by the environment.

The environment produces the phenomena and maintains the structure. We call this form of existence Environmental Phenomena.

Existence is freed from matter as the basis of being. Elements such as air, water, and light are transformed by their environment into unique phenomena that become the existence itself. Their boundaries are ambiguous and continuous.

Even if an artwork is broken apart, it remains in existence as long as its environment is maintained. If the environment is not maintained, the artwork disappears.
