Overview:

1. A practical entry-level powerboat course focused on safe boat handling, awareness and seamanship.

2. Who it’s for: Adults who are new to powerboats or need formal certification.

3. Format: Recommended public format: fixed 2-day course rather than a rolling weekly programme.

4. What to expect: Training covers safety checks, close-quarters manoeuvring, boat handling, awareness of conditions and practical control of a small powerboat.

5. Progression: Recommended next step: advanced powerboat training, supervised club usage or additional seamanship/theory training. Or Join JYC Academy as a member for all courses and clubs to be included at no cost.

Jeddah Yacht Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre. Successful students receive the relevant RYA Certificate on completion.
