Social | JYC Open Sail Session

Overview:

1. A relaxed open sailing session that brings competent sailors together for social water time with light coaching and safety cover.

2. Who it’s for: Adults and capable youth sailors who already have enough experience to join a mixed-ability sailing session. Beginners are recommended to join "Try Dinghy Sailing" instead of Open Sail sessions.

3. Format: Single bookable session on scheduled dates rather than a formal multi-week programme.

4. What to expect: The emphasis is on enjoyable time on the water, confidence building and sailing with others rather than a formal syllabus or certificate.

5. Progression: Recommended next step: JYC Wednesday Social Dinghy/Laser Racing or JYC Tuesday Night Racing. Or Join JYC Academy as a member for all courses, open sailing, social sailing and activities to be included at no cost.
