Youth Course | RYA Dinghy Stage 3

Overview:

1. JYC Youth Dinghy Stage 3 is a structured sailing programme designed to build confidence through coached on-water sessions and clear progress tracking.

2. Who it’s for: Children who can already sail a simple course and are ready to become more competent and confident in varied conditions.

3. Format: 5 coached sessions x 3 hours. Sessions must be completed within 12 weeks. The first attended session is the booking date selected for programme introduction and initial assessment.

4. Schedule: Participants book onto eligible weekly class times published by JYC, subject to space, weather and instructor availability.

5. Skills focus: All points of sail, improved manoeuvres, trim, balance, problem solving and more independent sailing tasks.

6. Progression: Recommended next step: JYC Youth Dinghy Stage 4. Or Join JYC Academy as a member for all courses, social sailing and activities to be included at no cost.
