Chess is coming to EWC 26 after debuting at EWC 25, where Magnus Carlsen, competing under Team Liquid, claimed the inaugural title. His victory helped establish chess as a natural fit on the EWC stage, blending classical mastery with modern esports competition.
Please note that there may be simultaneous matches happening on 11-14 AUG, split between the Allianz Vault and Qiddiya City Battlegrounds.

About Chess:
Chess is an ancient game of wits, with both players thinking several steps ahead of their opponent to corner the King and get the Checkmate. Each piece has a different set movement, allowing players to knock out enemy pieces and close in on each other's King. Just remember, some promising knockouts could be a trap.

The organizing authority shall not be held responsible for physical injuries, illnesses, death, loss, or damage to possessions of any visitor (including the ticket holder) due to reasons related to or resulting from the event.
The organizing authority has the right to expel anyone whose behavior is considered by the organizing authority to be a violation.
Bringing outside food and beverages into the event is prohibited.
Animals are not allowed.
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the event and its facilities.
Tickets are transferable and non-refundable, and you may return as many times as you like with a valid ticket.
Children under 16 must be accompanied at all times.
Entry is free for children under 3 years old.
No professional cameras or video recorders are permitted at the venue without a permit.
Parking is available.
All purchases are final and non-refundable, except in cases of organizer-related technical or operational issues.
