Overview:

1. A low-commitment dinghy sailing taster that introduces the basics of steering, sail control and confidence on the water in a safe, coached environment.

2. Who it’s for:

Children, teens and adults (all ages!) who are new to dinghy sailing.

3. Format:

One guided introductory session. Recommended for those who want to try sailing before booking a longer sailing course.

4. What to expect:

A short land briefing is followed by an on-water sailing session focused on steering, controlling speed and getting comfortable in the boat. A professional international RYA accredited sailing instructor will be with you throughout.

5. Progression:

Recommended next step: JYC Adult Dinghy Level 1 or JYC Youth Dinghy Stage 1. Or Join JYC Academy as a member for all courses, social sailing and weekly activities to be included at no cost.

1. By purchasing a ticket or booking, the participant agrees to follow the organiser’s terms and any venue, safety or instructor directions issued before or during the activity.

2. Bookings are non-refundable except where the organiser cancels, postpones or materially changes the activity.

3. Missed sessions, no-shows or unused bookings cannot be rearranged, refunded or carried forward unless the organiser confirms otherwise in writing.

4. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join once the briefing or on-water activity has started.

5. If the organiser cancels, postpones or changes the date, the booking value will be refunded to the provider e-wallet / payment channel in line with platform policy.

6. Participants are responsible for checking the date, time, location, age requirements and arrival instructions. Early arrival is recommended.

7. By attending, participants consent to reasonable photography, video and audio capture for event and marketing use by the organiser and venue unless they notify the organiser in advance.

8. The organiser accepts no liability for loss of or damage to personal belongings, or for injury, illness or death, except to the extent caused by the organiser’s negligence or as otherwise required by law.

9. Tickets or bookings may not be resold or transferred unless the organiser and platform expressly allow this.

10. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or in breach of venue rules.

11. For programme-based activities, certificates, logbook updates or progression sign-offs are awarded only where the required standard is achieved.
